Submissions Guidelines

         

          Welcome to That Hanging Moment, where various stories of frozen time and elevated emotion, confined to a single moment, will be shared.
          We would like to invite you to participate in this online journal that shares in the embarrassing, funny, or stunning lives of those around you.  Can you think of a time when you did something funny, or that most embarrassing moment?  Can you remember that feeling of time standing still and everyone watching you or when it seemed that all time came to a halt during a realization or experience?  We would like you to write an approximately 500 word creative non-fiction story about your life and submit it to hangingmomentsubmissions@gmail.com by April 17th.  We will then read and review your stories, let you know which ones we have picked and will likely ask you to edit and resubmit your pieces.   We also invite you to attach a photo either from your experience or one that illustrates your experience to add to the effect of your piece.   Feel free to record your own voice reading your piece, or even videotape the reading.  Express it in any way you feel best shows how you were hanging in that moment.  When we are finished they will be posted on blogger by May 8th and you will all have the opportunity to read each others pieces.
